I was alway's a overweight child and by 6th grade I weighed 150 pounds and I just kept getting bigger and bigger as eating was like therapy for me. I had alot of medical problems as a child. I felt secure and safe with food like it was my best friend and it never hurt me. By the time I was in high school I weighed 275 pounds and kept eating and started college weighing 350 pounds. I was very depressed and it was uncontrollable and when people tried to help I would shut down. However, with the help of someone very special to my heart and my faith and drive and determination I healed from all the pain I had undergone as a child and adult. I studied sports medicine and psy in college so I could help myself and others someday as my life was such a struggle. I started to power lift and loved this sport and was welcomed with open arms and finally found a group of people whom accepted me. I competed for three years in power lifting and became a champion athlete and this was a huge acomplishment for me and for the first time in my life somebody told me they were proud of me as I never heard this as a child and young adult. I will remember this day for the rest of my life. I never thought I would be able to bodybuild due to my weight so, I set myself on a personal quest to loose as much weight as possible drug free. It was a huge struggle for me and now I was on my own as I no longer had my angel as that life was taken away from me. So, I had to totally depend on my faith and drive and determination and keep a promise I made. I lost alot of weight and am now 180 and plan to compete at 140 in 2009 drug free for life baby...So enjoy my journey and watch me grow...blessings, amber xxxooo
